This carbon-fiber board has been designed to maintain the balance and weight of an original board, but with the help of two pins and a quick release lever, it can halve in size. And if you love surfing, make sure you read the excellent Surf Nation Blog by Alex Wade, which must be good if I enjoy reading it and I don’t even surf,

Some of the best ambient campaigns around via UADDit. I particularly enjoyed the Papa John’s Pizza and Leica Camera Zoom and was impressed by the Kill Bill lift. But the Frankfurt Smoking Zone was rubbish.

Designed by Stefan Eberstadt, this has to be one of the most unusual extensions I’ve ever seen. Despite looking like extremely unsafe, it in fact works. See more photos over at Design Hole.

These astonishing lights designed by Anke Weiss are actually recycled old bottles and boxes. Beautiful attention to detail and creative outcomes, if only everything could be recycled so brilliantly.

These odd looking cloud formations are called cloud streets. They are extremely rare and caused when strong currents cut through low lying clouds leaving long clean strips. They are 300 meters tall and stretch for over 100km.

The Life Clock by Bertrand Planes goes 6,1320 times slower than a regular clock, preferring to tick away the days and years over seconds and hours. Does that mean that in a few years, I’ll be facing the big 30 0’Clock?
